Dina Wakely: Yes, You Can Draw Faces

Join us for this half day class Monday, January 18th by Dina Wakely:

I am not someone who has an innate drawing gift. All of my drawing comes out of technique and practice. This class is a great start to your drawing life. We’ll thoroughly go over proportion and features. I’ll also show you how to mix skin tone colors and paint faces with acrylic. You don’t need talent, just a desire to learn!

If you already have drawing experience, you will find this class to be elementary. This class is suited for those with little to no prior drawing experience.

Please bring:

• Basic tool kit: Ranger craft sheet, scissors, paint brushes, mini blending tool and foams, water sprayer, Archival black ink pad and acrylic block, paint pens like Posca, water container to clean your brushes, baby wipes, paper towels, paper plate or palette paper to use as a palette (or you can just use your craft sheet). Optional but really nice to have: Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher and staples.
• You may also want a small notebook and a pen for taking notes.
• Your art journal.

Parking

Crafty AF is located off 5442 S Tacoma Way. While there is street parking available, there is a parking lot behind our building off of S Washington Street. There are signs in the lot that say permit parking only, but don't worry, this lot of for our customers to use. To find our alley entrance, look for the green wall with a mural of pink flowers, the entrance is through the door with the Silver Kings sign above it. 

Please Be Aware

Crafty AF is an artistic space. We use a variety of materials such as paint, resin, glue and much more. We do provide aprons and gloves, however, please wear clothing that you do not mind getting dirty. Crafty AF is also an artistic space geared towards adults. While you can bring your children, our classes are better suited for older teens.

Workshops are to be reserved at least 48 hours in advance. This gives our artists time to prep the materials needed for the class. If you need to cancel, please let us know ASAP. No refunds will be given to any cancellations within 72 hours of the class. Our artists work hard to prep the workshops. We will try to assemble a Take Home Kit, or possibly a credit to a future class.
