From Pet to Patch - Embroidery Workshop

About this experience

Learn how to embroider a portrait of your pet! Before the workshop, Sara of Bear&Bean will draw a custom portrait of your pet and a pattern for you to stitch on. During the workshop, you will learn beginner-friendly techniques on how to fill in the design with thread, paint-by-number style. No experience necessary and Sara will provide all of the supplies. When finished, the embroidery can be used to decorate a piece of clothing, hat, or bag. 

Things for attendees to know:

• This is a beginner friendly workshop. No embroidery experience required.

• Every attendee will leave with a kit tailored to their pet. 

• The kit includes: embroidery hoop; two pieces of felt; wash-away portrait of pet; DMC thread; needle; adhesive backing; card with digital instructions; drawstring bag 

• Attendees will need to send photos to Sara before the workshop. 

• Attendees will need to have a smartphone or an iPad to access the digital elements of the project (the color guide and stitch guide). Sara can provide an iPad if necessary.
