Gelli Printed Accordian Book with DeeDee Catron

About this experience

We will be getting messy in this workshop!! 
We will be gelli printing a SLEW of transluscent papers to create an accordian book full of dreamy abstract gelli printed pages. 

Shareables - paint, marking tools, creative reuse items, stamps, stencils and more! 

Students to bring (Bring what you have, we can share!!) 

• acrylic paint in 3 favorite colors - some paints that work well - Dina Wakley, Amsterdam, Waverly inspirations (matte finish) and GOlden So flat
• paint markers 
• paintbrushes - small and medium round, and a small and medium flat 
• scissors 
• permanent ink pad in 3 favorite colors, plus black 
• Palette knife

By the end of the workshop, we will have an accordian book, complete with thick protective covers, and a folding page block full of beautiful abstract gelli prints. Students will also get a 5x7 Gelli plate and a brayer to take home with them so they can continue gelli printing fun! 

We will discuss color theory, design standards, collage techniques, art rules and how to break them, and more!! 

We will break for an hour for lunch, time is flexible, around 1pm.
